About the event

His music will slip through your fingers, disarming any possibility of resistance...

Equally at home behind a piano, guitar, microphone or production desk, Kent Eastwood is a true artist, a multi-instrumentalist who lives and breathes music, and delights in its creation and performance.

Growing up in the company of folk, Americana and acoustic greats such Cohen, Dylan and Springsteen, Kent Eastwood’s songwriting style leans into the precious and sometimes bittersweet moments of everyday life, inviting and welcoming the listener into intimate worlds that might otherwise be glossed over. His music sits comfortably alongside Glen Hansard, Bon Iver and Foy Vance.

Three years living in Germany and playing yearly piano bar residencies in Thailand honed an innate ability to engage an audience with warmth and virtuosity, and nurtured a vast repertoire of both original and influential music that Kent seamlessly shifts between. His sets are genuine, eclectic and a joy to get lost in.

Kent Eastwood returned to Australia and lived in the fertile Byron shire performing regularly at local venues, including his own home, which is opened up once a month for an intimate piano soiree.

Eastwood's 3rd solo studio album New Beginnings, was recorded in Berlin and followed up with a House concert tour with Aussie songstress Sam Buckingham. Eastwood is also called upon for his session skills, playing piano accordion on Kasey Chambers number 1 selling album dragonfly, and toured regularly in Aria nominated, Golden Guitar winning artist Fanny Lumsden’s band playing organ and keyboards.
